Bio

I am a biologist, awarded wildlife filmmaker and photographer with expertise in animal behaviour and experience of shooting in varied locations across the globe. I graduated from an M.Sc. in Biology at the University of Rome and I recently completed the MA in Wildlife Documentary Production at the University of Salford.

I have always associated my studies in biology with filmmaking and photography. In 2014, I started to collaborate with the ISTC of the National Research Council of Italy and the EthoCebus Research Project. For my Master's thesis in biology, I documented the behaviour of capuchin monkeys making videos that were presented at scientific conferences, exhibitions, festivals.

‚ÄčI was a winner at the London Independent Film Awards, CICFF and a finalist at the International Wildlife Film Festival. I was also awarded by the Royal Society Publishing Photographic Competition 2015 (runner up of the Behaviour category). My works were published on scientific journals and magazines, as New Scientist, Science Illustrated, Nature, PNAS, Royal Society Publishing, Focus, La Repubblica and were broadcasted on Italian national tv programmes, such as L'Arca di Noè and Superquark+.

I aim to combine science and entertainment to make wildlife films that raise people's awareness about environmental issues, particularly climate changes, biodiversity loss and exploitation of natural resources.
